a bit of bad news...

This blog is currently on hiatus. I wish it wasn't but I don't know what else to do.

You see, I am in mourning.

I lost my brand new camera.

So you see, I can't bring myself to blog.

(If anyone would like to donate a semi new red camera to my cause, I would not mind one bit)

Also, Happy Easter.

It's been a busy few weeks for our family. And when I say busy I mean, SJ, Macy and I have been chilling at home and Dev has been going to work. Ok, maybe 'busy' was an exaggeration.

This last week SJ has been sick. We took him to the pediatrician on Thursday and he told us that he most likely has a virus but to bring him back on Saturday if he wasn't any better. He didn't get any better so we took him back today. The doctor sent us down to the hospital to get x-rays done of SJ's chest to make sure it wasn't pneumonia or bronchialytis. The tests came back negative for both (Yay!) so we brought our little boy home and have been having a movie marathon day while we hold our sweetheart.

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks...

This is what SJ does in the car. Thankfully he likes driving around and doesn't scream - unless he's super hungry.

He has recently taken a liking to his swing. He loves looking at himself in the mirror on the mobile. I love looking at him too!

SJ has a love hate relationship with baths. Most of the time he screams his head off, but the last two bath times have been quite pleasant.

I love this picture!

First time at church. If you look closely you can see a tie on his shirt. He apparently was paying lots of attention!

Baseball season kicked off a couple weeks ago. This is SJ getting ready for Orange Friday!
I love my family! :)

We love our dog, I promise. But her hair was getting a tad unruly. And being the poor couple that we are, we couldn't justify spending $40.00 to get her groomed. So today Devin convinced me that he could give her just as good of a hair cut with our scissors. I was a bit dubious at first, but I finally relented. By the time we were done with our at home hair cut we had enough excess hair to make a whole new puppy.

Before hair cut:

Like I stated before, I swear we love our dog...

a new addition to the family, a new blog...

Welcome to our new blog! I figured it was time for a new beginning.

A lot has been happening in our life. Here's a little recap:

January 18th: Devin was accepted to Western University School of Medicine in Lebanon, Oregon. So that means that we are moving to Oregon in July! We couldn't be more excited for our little adventure. I am so proud of Devin for following his dream and working so hard to get to this point in his life.

February 19th: Our beautiful baby boy, Seth James Burr (aka S.J.), was born at 4:47 pm at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT. 7 lbs 14 oz's and 19.5" long. Devin and I are so in love with our wonderful bundle of joy (though he does keep us up most of the night...)

March 24th: The BYU Basketball team made it to the Sweet Sixteen and lost :(

So yes, we have been a little bit busy. I have been staying home from work to take care of S.J. and hanging out with Macy. Devin has been working long days to make that possible! (Thanks babe!) The Pediatrician put gave S.J. a prescription for Prevacid because he has reflux. I wish I could do something about this, it's so hard to listen to him cry and know that there isn't anything I can do about it.

A few things about being a mom: I am constantly covered in spit up and pee (his diaper doesn't hold much, apparently). I have learned to function on little to no sleep.  I would rather sit on the couch holding my baby, getting nothing done, than listen to him cry. (I am such a sucker for that little cry) I may have the best husband ever. He helps out so much and makes me feel beautiful (even when I am running around in my pajamas and I have spit up in my hair at 5:00 p.m.).

But most importantly, I never knew I could love a little person so much :)
